Nuclear Decommissioning
Delivery, controls and commercial support on nuclear clean-up and legacy facilities, where every decision and controls output has to withstand scrutiny.
Our work in Nuclear Decommissioning
Overview
We have supported nuclear decommissioning from the Strategic Outline Business Case through to delivery, including periodic engagement over eight years on a £1.2bn encapsulation plant and a fleet-wide Learning from Experience programme for ponds decommissioning.
Our Learning from Experience report now stands as the body of knowledge informing future pond decommissioning across the fleet and at future sites.
What the environment demands
- Safety-critical work under regulatory and assurance scrutiny.
- Security clearances and restricted site access, which shape how we staff and plan every engagement.
- Decades of knowledge held by experienced people approaching retirement, which needs capturing before it is lost.
- Complex supply chains delivering critical manufacturing packages to time and budget.

Commercial claims and extension of time
