Problem
A framework of infrastructure works across a secure naval estate required a PMO capable of operating within a List-X Common Working Environment, with a major Outline Business Case to support.
Intervention
We partnered with two tier 1 contractor organisations to provide specialist PMO design, programme management and controls team support, working directly with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation.
Outcomes
- Supported DIO in developing the Outline Business Case for a critical asset programme of circa £800m, taking ownership of a number of critical programme controls and management artefacts
- Developed a challenging but realistic front-end engineering, safety and PMO establishment schedule, ensuring critical works advanced during and immediately after the OBC approval period
- Supported development of a strategic infrastructure improvement schedule based on OBC funding and strategic need
