The Herne Group (UK) partnered with a tier 1 consultancy to commence working with the Client at a very early stage in the Programme, to help frame the outline strategy for the establishment of a delivery model supporting the development of a fleet of SMR units in Czechia.
Supported the Client Team, providing both expert advice and lead the structuring and the development of a comprehensive technical evaluation focussing on several key discipline areas:

The Herne Group (UK) partnered with a tier 1 consultancy to support assurance of EPC Contract returns on the planned Dukovany NPP Project to deploy a Gen3 unit in Czechia.
We provided assurance support to the Client in several key thematic areas:
We completed a comprehensive review of EPC Contract documentation, supplier returns and supporting/supplementary information - providing clear and concise feedback on Supplier returns, areas of concern/clarification and strategies for negotiation on key topics.
We supported the Client in key clarification and negotiation meetings with Suppliers, providing expert input and mediation (as native English speakers) to key points of clarification (and contention).
We subsequently, supported the Client with quantification of the impact of residual issues, areas of missing scope and key risks to perform a balanced economic evaluation and identify a preferred bidder.

We partnered with two Tier 1 contractor organisations providing specialist PMO Design, Programme Management & Controls Team support to a framework of infrastructure works across the Clyde. We worked with DIO to design a PMO infrastructure to operate within a List-X Common Working Environment, currently under early establishment (CWE established, and outline PMO capabilities available).
We supported Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) in the development of the Outline Business Case for critical Clyde Asset Programmes (circa £800m), taking ownership of a number of critical Programme Controls and Management artefacts.
We developed a challenging but realistic front-end Engineering, Safety & Programme Management Infrastructure (PMO Establishment) schedule to ensure critical works were advanced during and immediately after the OBC approval period.
Supporting the development of a strategic infrastructure improvement schedule based on OBC funding and strategic need.

The Herne Group (UK) partnered with a tier 1 contractor and AMR consortium partner, providing specialist Programme Management and Controls support to aid the development and manufacture of a full-scale mock up of the Reactor Primary Systems.
We supported the Client and Contractor in the establishment, development and management of a fully integrated Programme and Project level schedule, pulling together all facets of the AMM/AMR schedule, across multiple suppliers and contractors.
Managed and controlled actual costs and their alignment to key scope elements to not only control the Programme appropriately, but also align to strict Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF) and HMG Innovation funding streams to enable succinct and efficient reporting.
Successfully delivered the AMR full-scape lock-up on time and below budget.

The Herne Group (UK) mobilised a Programme Management and Controls Team to support a portfolio of infrastructure works at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
We developed and established a realistic and credible baseline schedule to support contract engagement with the MoD for the delivery of two major programmes of infrastructure works.
We developed the Strategic Outline Business Case (SOBC) including all major Programme Controls artefacts (probabilistic schedule, resource estimate, quantitative schedule risk analysis and quantitative cost risk analysis (QSRA, QCRA) for the wider portfolio of infrastructure works covering a spectrum of critical facilities are DRDL to the value of approximately £500m over the next 10 years.
We established a robust and simplistic Programme Management and Controls reporting suite (Visual Factory) within the main project office for SRC - integrating Schedule, Cost, Quality and Resourcing and Safety data sets - providing a forerunner and template for the wider MIP PMO PowerBI reporting suite.

We provided strategic leadership and oversight of all procurement activities, ensuring the safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery of the £1.2Bn Project, while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
We established and implemented the BEP Joint Venture Supplier Relationship Management Programme, a strategic intervention based on IPA recommendations. We facilitated non-technical skills development through training, coaching and collaborative workshops, developing individual capabilities and improving overall project performance.
We delivered Change Management and reporting services, including Earned Value calculations and cost/programme analysis. We produced several interactive Power BI Dashboards, using multiple data sources to provide a range of project progress visuals.
